Hello Yosemite Families:
This is Principal Horn with your beginning of the school year principal message. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying summer vacation. We are looking forward to a great year at Yosemite! Our Yosemite staff strongly believes that the education of children is a partnership between the home and the school and that parent involvement is crucial to the success of our students.
Construction Work – Over the spring and summer we’ve had some upgrades to 10 of our classrooms that did not get modernized 15 years ago with the rest of the school. Our older wood walls and chalkboards have been replaced with Whiteboards in classes at Yosemite. We now have a lot of carpet at our school, so no drinks, other than water, are allowed in the classrooms.
7th Grade Immunizations – All students entering 7th Grade must show proof of current vaccination against pertussis (whooping cough) and have a second varicella immunization.
Class lists – Class lists will be posted Thursday, August 10, 2023, on the cafeteria windows. These lists will indicate your child’s Period 1 teacher and room number. No room changes will be made prior to Monday, August 28, 2023. Please note that due to the possible enrollment changes we may need to make schedule changes. There is a possibility that your child may be moved to a different class.
7th Grade Last Day of School is June 5, 2024. 7th Grade End of Year Awards is at 10 a.m. on June 5, 2024.
8th Grade Last Day of School is June 6, 2024. 8th Grade End of Year Awards is at 10 a.m. on June 6, 2024.

Late Registration – If you are new to Fresno Unified, our district office will be open for new student registration. Parents or guardians should bring proof of the student’s age, previous transcripts, immunization records, and proof of address.
